Pastel star
I found a very fine gold and ecru thread at a tiny shop in the middle of nowhere ( so to speak), its very fine not the normal no5 I use, looks like a no12 I think ( no labels). Anyway I liked to have a go and see how it would end up. I used a 4 petal kiku herringbone stitch, I love the ''flower'' pattern at the center that was created. In real life the gold thread looks very pretty but in my photos its dull :(

Temari DVD

There is great DVD on Temari , it accompanies the book by Diana Vandervoort
It goes through all the patterns in the book, fantastic for those that like to see the stitches in action :)
